The Ganpati vargani app your mandal deserves

Replace the paper pavti book and the WhatsApp-screenshot chaos. Collect vargani, issue an instant receipt to every donor, and show a clean, audit-ready account at visarjan.

॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥

Every Ganeshotsav the same story repeats across Maharashtra’s mandals: a treasurer with a diary, volunteers with a shared pavti book, and a general body meeting where someone asks where the vargani went. Om Kosh turns that whole workflow into one clean dashboard, collect on the phone, issue a receipt on the spot, and publish a report the whole peth can read.

It is built for how mandals actually work: multiple collectors doing rounds at the same time, cash and UPI side by side, sponsors and shop donations on top of household vargani, and a treasurer who needs the books to reconcile themselves.

The old way

Why the register and the group chat don’t cut it

Paper pavti books get lost

A carbon-copy book is one spilled chai away from an argument. Digital receipts are numbered, searchable and never “misplaced”.

Nobody knows the live total

With five volunteers collecting, the treasurer only finds out the total at night. Om Kosh shows the running collection to the whole committee, live.

The visarjan-day rush

The biggest collection day is also the most chaotic. Recording at the point of collection means the books are already done when the murti leaves.

What you get

Everything your committee needs, in one app

Instant numbered receipts

Record a contribution and a branded, numbered receipt is generated on the spot, Marathi, Hindi or English, ready to show, print or share on WhatsApp.

UPI QR collection

Show your mandal’s UPI QR, the donor pays, you mark it paid. Or take cash, either way it’s logged in one tap.

Many collectors at once

Every volunteer collects from the mobile app with a 4-digit PIN. The live total updates for the whole committee, no double-entry.

Expenses with bill photos

Log the idol, mandap, sound, prasad and decoration with a photo of each bill. Your balance-in-hand is always correct.

One-tap transparency report

Publish an audit-ready report, income, itemised expenses, sponsors credited, balance carried forward, that ends the “where did the money go” questions.

Sponsors, ads & donors

Track sponsorships, banner/gate advertisements and outside donors separately, each with its own receipt series.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Do donors get a proper vargani receipt?

Yes, the moment a volunteer records a contribution, a branded, numbered receipt is generated in Marathi, Hindi or English, ready to show, print or share on WhatsApp. There is no cap on receipts, even on the free tier.

Can several volunteers collect vargani at the same time?

Yes. Each committee member signs in to the mobile app with their mobile number and a 4-digit PIN, and everyone collects at once. The live total updates for the whole committee, so there is no double-entry and no reconciliation at midnight.

Is it really free to start?

Yes. Om Kosh is completely free until your mandal collects ₹1,00,000 in a financial year, full features, unlimited festivals, no per-receipt charge, and we never take a percentage of your collections. Above ₹1 lakh it is a flat yearly price based on how much you collect, billed just once at the end of the financial year.

Do we need any technical knowledge to set it up?

No. If your committee can use WhatsApp, they can use Om Kosh. Setup takes a few minutes, register the mandal, add collectors, and start collecting. We also set it up with you on a short call if you prefer.

Does it handle expenses and the final report?

Yes. Log every payment, idol, mandap, sound, decoration, prasad, with a photo of the bill, and Om Kosh keeps your balance-in-hand correct. At visarjan, publish a transparent, audit-ready report in one tap.
