Nobody argues about a ₹15,000 festival. That is precisely why the small ones are recorded worst — a shobha yatra, some prasad, a few flowers, all paid for from whatever cash was lying with the treasurer from the last collection. It feels like too little to bother accounting for.
Small festivals are where the float goes to die
The problem is not the ₹15,000. It is that the ₹15,000 came out of an undocumented float carried over from Ganpati, which means the Ganpati closing balance was never really closed, which means next year nobody can tell you what you started with. Small festivals are how a clean set of books quietly becomes an approximate one.
Run them as real celebrations in the books
Give each one its own festival record, even if it holds four expenses and no collection at all. It costs a minute and it keeps the chain of balances unbroken from one year to the next.

A society that marks the new year of every community living in it — not just the majority one — buys more goodwill for ₹15,000 than any amount of Diwali lighting. It is worth doing properly, and worth showing on the report that you did.
