Closing the pending tail: getting the last 20% of units to pay

Omkosh team · 9 May 2026 · 5 min read

Most societies collect 80% of contributions in the first few days — and then stall. That last 20% is usually owner-occupied flats that missed the volunteer, and shops that need a separate ask. It’s also the difference between a festival that just breaks even and one that carries a healthy surplus.

See exactly who is pending

A live pending list, filterable by wing, tells you precisely which units to follow up — no cross-checking registers.

Send one warm reminder, not ten

One friendly, personal reminder to just the pending units — with your UPI details — converts far better than repeated group messages that everyone tunes out. Keep it grateful, not guilt-tripping.

Make paying frictionless

Show a QR at the notice board and the society gate. When paying takes fifteen seconds and a receipt arrives instantly, the tail closes itself.
